Teddy Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. ("Teddy") was the 26th president of the U.S., from 1901-1909. He was a conservationist, statesman, naturalist, historian and writer who served as Vice President under William McKinley. He became the youngest person to assume the presidency at age 42, following the assassination of McKinley. He died in 1919 at age 60, and is considered among the five best presidents. His face is one of the four presidents represented in the carving on Mount Rushmore along with Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln.
